Our Review

We've been very excited about the release of this album since it was announced at the back end of 2010.

Their first album blew us away with almost every track becoming as catchy as the last. It had everything that a debut album should have but despite this still only managed to peak at number 11 in the UK chart.

Three and a half years later they've offered up their latest, and at first listen 'This Modern Glitch' gives a familiar sound but with some subtle changes to have a go at making it a bit more up to date but rarely does it triumphs at grabbing the listener's attention for more than the odd track.

The tracks that are worth listening to are 'Jump Into The Fog' and 'Tokyo (Vampires and Wolves)', both of which have already been released previous to the album release and failed to gain much success reaching number 35 and 23 respectfully.

I hate to say it but I think this could be the last time we hear from the Wombats at least until they attempt to reinvent themselves a little more.
